Yes, ‘Tropic Thunder’ includes three of the funniest men namely, Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black doing their best to amuse us. Storyline/Synopsis: "Tropic Thunder" is a satire on the action war movies. The mission is to make the most expensive war film ever made. Three of the most self obsessed or sorts of narcissist actors are hired for the lead roles. The cost of the big budget movie crosses the budget so the studio decides to call off the project. But the frustrated director of that over expensive action flick who is not ready to cancel thinks otherwise and opts for shooting in the Jungles of Southeast Asia to provide a feel of reality. The story takes an exciting twist when deep in the jungles; the action heroes face the real enemies. What are the obstacles they have to face? What happens to the big budget movie? Would they be able to come out of the mess? How would they encounter the real enemies? Check out the hilarious antics of the three dazzling actors.

Strengths: The greatest strength of the movie is its comic star power and their Oscar winning performances (pun Intended). Robert Downey Jr. takes the cake as he is just too perfect. Jack Black is amazing if not superb and Ben Stiller is awesome. Also look out for the amusing Tom Cruise. All the other actors have delivered decent performances. The Casting director deserves a pat on the shoulder for such a brilliant casting. The first half of the movie is dazzling and the pace of the movie keeps the interest of the audiences intact. Director Ben Stiller has done complete justice to the difficult task of directing an amazing satire. I must say that the movie presents Stiller as an intelligent film maker.
Flaws: Well! Speaking very frankly there are many flaws in the movie but somehow the humour overshadows these flaws. The second half is quite slow as compared to the first one but still the movie is able to make people laugh and that too a bit loud. I just don’t want to go in deep and criticize this movie like anything because it is surely the funniest movie in recent times.
Audience Verdict: I got the opportunity to find out the views of my fellow audiences after the show is over and I must say all of them gave ‘Tropic Thunder’, a big Thumps Up. Controversy or no controversy, the movie is surely going to be one of the biggest hit.
My ratings for the Movie ***1/2 i.e. three and a half stars out of Five. One for Robert Downey Jr, One for Ben Stiller, One for Jack Black and another half because of the controversy regarding this hilarious movie (pun Intended). Do I need to say more?
