Strengths: The movie is a bit fast paced and begins with a promise to add charm to the Halloween season. Debutant director Mickey Liddell’s potential is clearly visible in some spooky scenes and he deserves a pat on the shoulder for making a technically too good movie. The future of this director looks bright and so is the future of the lead actress Haley Bennet. She has all the ingredients of carrying a movie on her own and she is smokin hot too. Chace Crawford looks cool as usual and would add more female fan following after the movie. However, acting wise everyone have delivered just an Ok performance. The thriller at times proved indeed like a thriller as one can notice the female audience almost screaming at some scenes.

Flaws: The Editing is a big let down as it is clearly visible that in order to get a PG-13 rating much has been sacrificed. The story is another loophole in ‘The Haunting of Molly Hartley’. Instead of being a gripping one it becomes a boring one and in spite of having a promising beginning it ends rather disappointingly failing to add any charm to the Halloween season. There was a lot of scope for the acting talent but everyone disappoints as the entire cast fails to take the movie to another level. Some scenes are absolutely stunning but the number of such scenes should have been more. The ending is just not up to the mark! In short, one gets a feeling that he/she has wasted the money.

Audience Verdict: There were mixed reactions from the public some found the movie a good one whereas some were visibly disappointed by the ‘The Haunting of Molly Hartley.’ However, most of the audiences found the movie not-good enough. On an Average, the audience’s rating is *1/2 star .i.e. One and a half stars out of five.

Our rating for ‘The haunting of Molly Hartley’ **1/2 i.e. two and a half stars out of Five. One for the good attempt of the debutant director, one for a few absolutely stunning scenes and another half to cheer the disappointed audience by wishing them - ‘Happy Halloween’

If you are thinking about watching ‘The Haunting of Molly Hartley’ at a theatre then wait for the DVD to come out and watch it at your home theatre!
