Storyline/Synopsis: The story revolves around three people Dustin (Jason Biggs), Alexis (Kate Hudson) and Tank (Dane Cook). Dustin falls in love with gorgeous but practical Alexis just after five weeks of dating. Alexis feels that it is too early and eventually breaks off the relationship. Now, the lover boy Dustin desperately wants her back in his life. But only one man can make it possible, Tank, his best friend, who is a master in this trade. Tank helps the dumped guys by going with their ex-girlfriends on date and there he tries his best to make it their worst date ever. The guys get their exes back and Tank gets his payment. Tank takes up the responsibility of getting Alexis back in his friend’s life. But the story takes an intriguing twist when Alexis fell for Tank and vice a versa. Now, Tank is confused as what to do! At one end, there is his friendship and on the other, there is his new found love. What happens next? Would he able to solve this riddle?

The movie is rated R for strong language and sexual content throughout, including graphic dialogue and some nudity.

Strengths: Acting wise, Dane Cook tries his best to do full justice to his character of TANK. Kate Hudson looks desperate for a hit. Jason Biggs was OK. All the actors tried but only Alec Baldwin as Tank’s dad delivers a performance that has something to write about. Some scenes, if you overlook the obscene part, are really funny.

Flaws: As a critic I keep waiting for flawless movies so that I can find faults in them. But ‘My Best Friend’s Girl’ is not worth even my criticism. However, because I believe that work is worship, so I have to do my work! Starting from the terrible direction work, one can see the patchy camera work from the beginning. The close-up shoots are worst of its kind and adds oil in the fire. The dialogues are nothing less than a crap. If I use the word vulgar, even that would fall well short in describing about the movie. Acting wise, every actor except Alec Baldwin tries to make ‘My Best Friend’s Girl’ a worst R rated movie of this year. The chemistry between the friends Tank played by Dane Cook and Dustin played by Jason Biggs is clearly missing. The beauty of Kate Hudson looks unbelievable yes you cannot believe how bad she can really be! In short, the movie is full of loopholes and would be liked only by those who don’t use their minds to think.

Audience Verdict: After watching this movie, I got the opportunity to talk to my fellow audiences and find out what they feel about ‘My Best Friend’s Girl’. Sensible audiences were disappointed with the movie and strongly felt that they have wasted their money. On an average, the audiences’ rating for the movie is 4 out of 10.

My ratings for the Movie *1/2 i.e. one and a half stars out of Five. Half star for Dane Cook, Half star for Alec Baldwin and another half for a few laughs that I heard from some of the underage audiences, who somehow sneaked-in to watch the movie.

If you are thinking about watching ‘My Best Friend’s Girl’ as a Date movie, then drop the idea and wait for the DVD! You would be happy watching the movie on the DVD.
