An Adaptation of the well known Book series American Girl, the movie “Kim Kittredge: An American Girl” includes many renowned award winners and Oscar Nominees.

The story of the movie, as the name suggests revolves around Kit, a wannabe reporter living in Cincinnati with her Dad and Mom Margaret. The story involves Kit being a determined, compassionate and a courageous girl with a strong desire to become a reporter. When her Father loses his car dealership job and is left with no other choice than going in search of employment outside Cincinnati.

Kit along with her Mom Margaret start their decent life of their own and doing things which are quite amusing. The story takes a new twist when the whole of Cincinnati becomes a hub of criminal activities and all indications of the theft points towards “hobo jungle”, where Will and Countee reside along with their colleagues. She believes that Will is not the real culprit even though her Mother and other Cincinnati people become the latest victims of the thefts. So, she along with her friends Ruthie and Stirling decides to clear Will from the accused charges and find out the main culprit behind these robberies.

Directed by Patricia Rozema and screenplay by Ann Peacock (The Chronicles of Narnia, the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe), the movie is a treat for the children.
