KUNG FU PANDA Movie Review

After the dazzling success of ever fascinating Shrek, Madagascar and Bee Movie, DreamWorks Feature Animation presents Po, a mesmerizing Panda to amuse you with incredibly entertaining Kung Fu stunts. Po is quite big, Po is quite cute and what is most charming is that Po is too enthusiastic.

Check out the fascinating Kung Fu Panda trailer.

Storyline/ Synopsis: Po (Voice of Jack Black), an amusing and fascinating Panda, works at his father’s noodle shop. Though Po is a typical rolly Polly Panda but still there is a strong desire within that makes him a die hard kung fu fan. His dream comes true when he gets a chance to be a member of the thrilling world of Kung-Fu and learns the breath taking stunts along side the Iconic Furious Five namely: Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Viper (Lucy Liu), Crane (David Cross), Mentis (Seth Rogen) and Monkey (Jackie Chan), under the guidance of their leader Shifu (Dustin Hoffman). Tai Lung (Ian Mcshane), a snow leopard is making the life hard for these Kung Fu warriors.

Now it is up to Po to defend everyone and protect them from the upcoming threat. Can Po be able to bring out the Kung Fu master within him? Can he be able to justify that "he is the chosen one"? Would his enthusiasm be able to overcome his physical limitations? Can Po be able to be the greatest hero by becoming an awesome Kung Fu Panda?

Strengths: The Movie is indeed a treat to watch as the image quality is great and visually up to the mark. The jokes are original and story is well paced. The talented Jack Black is perfect and his voice does full justice to the character Po, making him more likeable. All the actors have delivered a decent performance through their voice but besides Po, Dustin Hoffman (Shifu) and Jackie Chan’s work as monkey stands out. The movie has "everything that a kid wants" and as in the movie Po himself says "that was awesome let’s go again"; the movie is that much appealing. The movie is a sheer delight.

Flaws: Well! The movie may not be masterpiece but it is definitely not at all less than that. The movie is a bit of old fashioned in terms of the message of bringing out that hero(Or we can call it the greatest unlikely hero) within us. "Kung Fu Panda" is just too perfect and the only flaw in the movie is that leaves us gasping for more.

My Rating for Kung Fu Panda ***1/2 i.e. Three and a half stars out of Five
