Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Finally the Wait is over!

Indy (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull) is back and this time searching for the Crystal skull. Indiana’s magic is there even after 19 long years.

The Kingdom of the Crystal skull is set in 1957 under the height of Cold War. Henry “Indiana” Jones (one and only Harrison ford) and his sidekick Mac (awesome Ray Winstone) escapes a close shave with Russian agents. The movie grips the audiences within the first 20 minutes with the typical flavour of the Indiana Jones Movies. As Indiana with a rebellious biker Mutt Williams(played by baby faced Shia Labeouf), with a hidden motive, set out on one of the most adventurous as well as dangerous journey to the remote Jungles of Peru, the movie takes many thrilling twists. The Soviet Agents are also in pursuit of the crystal skull with Irina Spalko (amusing Cate Blanchett with much more amusing diction), the cruel and rude chief trying her devastatingly best to get the power of the Crystal Skull. Indiana and Mutt must have to find the kingdom, evading the enemies and saving the crystal skull from getting into wrong hands.

The Movie is an action cum adventure cum entertaining flick. However, Harrison Ford is awesome as he maintains the character of Indiana Jones quite perfectly. All the actors played their part quite efficiently but somehow Harrison Ford, even at 65(if not 80, as gag in the movie), Rocks. Shia Labeouf, along with Ray Winstone, provides the fun element to the movie and girls would definitely be going to love this rising star’s chocolate face. Karen Allen is back as Maven Ravenwood and delivers a highly appreciable and likeable Performance. Cate Blanchett is whip cracking in the role of the chief of Russian Agents.

The introduction scene of Indiana is awesome.

Steven Spielberg’s love for Jurassic Park series however has been highlighted in this movie. No doubt this flick has some really cherishing moments like the car chase, the exotic Waterfall and many more but somehow the story loosens the grip provided by the first 20 minutes.

The Very High Expectations as well as the comparison with the Indiana Jones Trilogy have somehow made this Kingdom of the Crystal Skull a bit ordinary time pass Flick.

Special TIP: Don’t expect too much from this Indiana Jones Movie and you would enjoy this good if not great movie.

The movie is a long awaited sequel so it may not be a perfect or a treat to watch movie but watching Indiana Jones back in action is surely a good experience.

My Rating for the movie *** Three out of five stars

Welcome back Indy!
