Synopsis: 'Alvin and the Chipmunks', a global phenomenon to generations of fans, becomes a live-action/CGI motion picture event with a contemporary comic sensibility. Songwriter Dave Seville transforms singing chipmunks Alvin, Simon and Theodore into pop sensations – while the out-of-control trio lays waste to Dave’s home, wreaks havoc with his career and turns Dave’s once-orderly life upside-down.
Strengths * Hip-hop music making you dance * Highly entertaining * Old fans of classic cartoons will satisfied * Great foot-tapping music * Your kids will simply love it * Makes you nostalgic about your own childhood
Flaws * Has a few slow parts but we can ignore this factor * Quite predictable in the first half making you lose your excitement
Why should you go for this movie? What else could you ask for when you want to spend some time alone with your spouse? Just make your kids sit and watch this movie, and go wherever you want for at least one and a half hours. This movie is a sure success for your child’s entertainment. No doubts.
A perfect holiday for you and your kids! Enjoy! Critic Reviews * "If anything, it's the perhaps intentionally cheapened, hyper-produced sound of the trio later in the film that makes one wish for the old versions of their songs." Los Angeles Times - Michael Ordoña * "The movie is devoid of laughs..." USA Today - Claudia Puig * "...a harmless and frequently humorous trifle..." Variety - Joe Leydon
